Shastri Sisters — Chaar Dil Ek Dhadkan commonly abbreviated as Shastri Sisters is an Indian television series, which premiered on July 21, 2014 on Colors TV. The show stars Neha Pednekar, Ishita Ganguli, Sonal Vengurlekar and Pragati Chourasiya as the four Shastri sisters. The story of the show revolves around the life of four sisters as they make their journey from Kanpur to Delhi

Shastri Sisters is a story which revolves around 4 sisters; Alka, Anushka, Devyani and Peeya. This story takes many twists and turns as these four sisters adjust to their new life in Delhi. The family has moved from Kanpur to Delhi due to their father, Narayan Shastri's job transfer. The Shastri sisters have lost their mother at a very young age and since then Anushka (second sister) has been a motherly figure to the rest of them.

The family stays in a house owned by Narayan Shastri's old friend Surender Sareen. Surender Sareen lived with his wife, Minti; and their two sons, Rajat and Neil. Though, Minti did not have any daughter, but she started to grow hatred towards the sisters.

Due to a series of misunderstandings, Neil is not initially fond of the Shastri sisters. But later he develops feelings for Devyani. Alka had a boyfriend named Rajiv while in Kanpur, but obeying her father, she gets married to Rohan. Although uncomfortable at first, she happily accepted Rohan as her husband. Rajat falls for Anushka, but Devyani also falls for Rajat creating a love triangle between the three. For her sister's happiness, Anushka sacrifices her love initially. She asks Rajat to marry Devyani making him to swear on their love.

In the meanwhile, Neil falls for Devyani but she rejects him politely. Dejected, Neils tries to commit suicide by jumping off the cliff. He is eventually saved by the people in the vicinity. Minty and her sister, Nikki, start causing trouble for the sisters as a revenge for Neil. They tell Devyani of Rajat and Anushka having an affair. Rajat eventually, end up in confessing his love towards Anushka; so Devyani starts to grow jealous of Anushka. Seeing this, Anushka refuses Rajat politley, that she could not marry someone who was once loved by her sister.

Later, Rajat meets Karishma (his close friend) and together they plot to make Anushka realize her love for Rajat. But, Karishma had fallen in love with Rajat, and together with Aastha (Alka's sister-in-law), they agree on eliminating Anushka from Rajat's life.

The day when Anushka is about to express her love, the air force police arrives at the Sareen house. Rajat had been given a job to take care of a confidential CD but has been replaced with a music CD. They eventually find it in Anushka's cupboard. Rajat becomes angry and ends up agreeing to marry Karishma.

Anushka, Devyani and Neil find out that it had was Karishma who hid the CD, as she wanted defame Anushka in order to win Rajat over. On the day of Karishma and Rajat’s wedding, just to be sure that the wedding goes smooth, Karishma kidnaps Anushka and dumps her in her car. Anushka is rescued by Neil and Devyani when they pass by the car where Anushka is struggling to undue the knots of the rope tied by Karishma’s bodyguards. They reveal the truth to Rajat, but he was convinced that Karishma could not commit such a sin. Anushka asks Rajat for a last chance to prove herself innocent. Later, according to the plan, Anushka dressed up as a bride. Everyone got shocked to see the two brides (Anushka & Karishma). Anushka, there, informed everyone of the evil plans of Karishma. Seeing this, Karishma end up in cutting herself with a knife, putting the blame on Anushka once again. The Pandey and Sharma families go to the hospital. Surender Sareen and Neil accept Anushka as Rajat’s wife but Rajat and Minty say that they cannot accept her as it was a betrayal. Anushka swears on her mother that she will leave the house the next day if she cannot prove herself innocent. To prove herself innocent, Neil, Devyani and Anushka found the recording, which could help them in proving Anushka's innocence. The recording was played at the party, and Karishma was exposed.

Rajat, still astonished, was unable to prove his love for Anushka. Anushka left the house only for the reason that Rajat did not stop her. Eventually, they both end up confessing their love for each other. Preparations for Rajat and Anushka's wedding begin, but until now Minty wasn't satisfied; so she humiliated Narayan Shastri, and he got a heart attack. Then came Veer, Sudeep Sahir, (Rajat's friend) who, later was requested by Narayan Shastri to marry Anushka. He agreed, but Anushka wasn't comfortable in marrying him. Soon, Veer came to know of Rajat and Anushka's past relation, but being a close friend to both of them, he sent Rajat as a groom to marry Anushka. Two love birds eventually got married. Minty, still, kept on plotting plans against Anushka. But later, Anushka came to know of her evil plans. Rajat, however, focused on seeing the nearness of Veer and Anushka, which wasn't true but a plan by Minty, to cause distance between Rajat & Anushka.

Shastri sisters are already troubled in their lives due to Minty and Astha. Now even Neel has started distancing himself with Devyani which is bothering her to the core. Devyani feels helpless,will she be able to find out reason behind all this?
